Best of John Saladino

I had seen photographs of John Saladino's work around in the blogsphere but I wanted to have them all together in one post so here is my selection. I'm quite aware that my "best of" might not be the same as yours, or anyone else's but well, such is life. Traditional, antique, with maybe just a hint of modern, but always elegant. Come and see if you like his style.

  1. I was just getting ready to sign off here to get to work and noticed that you just posted so, of course, I had to check in before I left. Boy am I glad I did! Wow, European style at it's finest... what a beautiful way to start the day. Thank you so much! Have a terrific Tuesday.

  4. Hello sweet lady! I follow your blog for quite some time but, so far, I've been a lurker. It is one of my favorite blogs with this specific theme from the net. The images of the interiors you post are so exquisite, interesting, intriguing, fun, and full of warmth. I made a habit to visit "my" blogs (yours included) at the beginning of my day-work, to leave them on separate windows, and take a peek occasionally, while doing my job. As if to escape into another world. Or to recharge my batteries.

Your post of today just took my breath away. Of course, these kind of houses, and interiors, are not, as the saying goes, my "station in life," which is more modest. I don't even own a house. But that's beyond the point, the important thing is to get some inspiration in some minutiae details, for instance, a vase, a window sill decoration, a cushion, or how to set a table, simple and unpretentious with just the right detail. This, we can all do, no matter where we live and how.

In the picture no. 17, I like the desk. Finally, a sensible chair for the desk. I always wondered how people can sit at their desks in those fancy, nice but uncomfortable chairs featured in some decoration ideas about working space at home. I tried, believe me. I use a lot my desk, writing, and definitively an ergonmic chair on wheels is a must. I also like those shelves, or bookcases, practical, modern, and yet blending with the atmosphere of the room. Thank you so much for sharing Saladino's work, and in general, for keeping this blog for the enjoyment of your readers.
    Warm hugs,
    Doina from New York

  5. Kifus, Saladino is one of my all times favorite architects.
His works are perfect in my opinion, his style is timeless and so classy, I love it.
The second and the two last pics are so fresh and they took my attention just because of today's high temperatures.
    Wish you al nice day.
